FTP Access

FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is the method used to transfer files to and from your hosting server. Allowing FTP access to your website directory allows users to access and modify the files stored in this directory using an FTP client.

This article provides a quick overview of how you can add and remove FTP users to your website directory. For more detail on how to use FTP on your server see the articles in the FTP Users section.

Adding an FTP User to a Website

  • Once you are logged into the Control Panel click Websites in the left menu.
  • Click on the website you want to add the FTP User to.
  • Click on the FTP Users tab and then click Add FTP User.
  • Fill out all the appropriate fields and click Add FTP User.

Removing an FTP User from a Website

  • Once you are logged into the Control Panel click Websites in the left menu.
  • Click on the website you want to remove the FTP User from.
  • Click on the FTP Users tab.
  • Click the More Actions icon (᛫᛫᛫) on the right of the FTP User you want to delete.
  • Click Delete to confirm and apply.
