Volumes

Volumes are a feature designed to give you greater control over your data. Volumes are directories found outside of your application folder, allowing you to provide people with access to specific files, share files between containers, among other uses.

The common use cases for volumes are:

• Sharing files, such as images, between containers
• Storing data outside of the application folder
• Providing users with a way to manage files without being provided access to the entire container
