Backing up a Container

All containers are setup to perform automatic backups each night. Backups are included in the price of your container's server. Our automatic systems will backup your files daily and store them in a secure offsite location on our resilient storage nodes. Backups include the following directories for each of your containers:

• application
• config
• crontabs

Performing a Manual Backup

To perform a manual backup instantly, follow the steps below:

1. When logged in to the SiteHost Control Panel, click the Containers module from the menu on the left.
2. Click the Container Label from the list to open the Container management page.
3. Select the Backups tab from the Container management page
4. Enter a name for your backup, then Backup Now to initiate a manual backup.

Depending on the size of your container, it may take several minutes for your backup to complete.

Accessing the backups
