Aliases
Aliases are used for extra email addresses that work for your mailbox. An alias email address will forward all email recieved by the aliased address to the mailbox it has been aliased to. You can think of it as a nickname for your mailbox. For example you can have an alias of matt@example.co.nz for your mailbox of matthew@example.co.nz and all emails sent to matt@example.co.nz will end up being recieved by matthew@example.co.nz.
How to Add an Alias to a Mailbox
- When logged in to the Control Panel, click on Email in the left menu.
- Select the email domain that your mailbox exists under.
- Select the mailbox you want to add an alias to.
- Click the Add Alias button in the top right.
- Enter the the email address you want to alias to this mailbox (just type the part before @example.co.nz).
- Click the Add Alias button to save this alias.
How to Remove an Alias to a Mailbox
- When logged in to the Control Panel, click on Email in the left menu.
- Select the email domain that your mailbox exists under.
- Select the mailbox you want to remove an alias from.
- Hover over the alias you wish to remove to bring up the delete icon.
- Click the delete icon next to the alias you want to remove.
- Confirm the deletion by clicking the Remove Alias button on the popup.
