Renewing a Domain Name

Renewing a Domain Name

Last updated July 14th, 2016

You can renew a domain name at any point - not only when it is due to expire.

Renewing a Domain

  1. Once you are logged into the Control Panel click Domains in the main navigation. (See Figure 1)

  2. Find the domain you want to renew on the table or use the search functionality.

  3. If the domain is due to be renewed soon a link will appear on the right which you can click, or click on the domain name to be taken to a screen that has the renew option.

  4. Select the renewal period for the domain and complete the form by clicking the 'Renew Domain' button to confirm the renewal. (See Figure 2)

Please note that there will be emails sent to the main contact email address with reminders about your domain renewals.

Tip: Each domain name in the list has a status icon next to the left of the domain in the grid (see Figure 1). Usually this is a green dot to indicate the domain is active and all is well. This will change to an orange dot to indicate a change in status (eg domain expired or cancelled) or pending action (eg still registering). If the domain is locked it will show as a padlock. Hover your mouse over the icon to see what the status colour means.
