How do I enable the CDN service?

Last updated February 17th, 2015

The steps below will demonstrate how to enable the CDN service on your account:

  1. Log into the SiteHost Control Panel and navigate to the 'Content Delivery Network' module.

  2. You will be presented with a list of your DNS Zones. Alongside each zone will be a toggle switch which will allow you to toggle the CDN service 'On' or 'Off' for each individual zone:

  3. When enabling the CDN service on a zone, you will be prompted to select the records for which you would like to enable the CDN service for:

    Enable CDN

  4. Once the CDN service has been enabled, you will be taken to the configuration page for the zone. From here you will be presented with the following options:

    • The 'Dev Mode' option will bypass the CDN for 3 hours or until manually disabled. This is useful if you are making changes to your websites and need to see the results instantly.
    • The 'Purge Cache' option will remove all copies of your files from the CDN nodes, forcing them to be reloaded from your origin server.
    • The 'Disable CDN' option will turn all CDN functions off for the zone.

You can also use this page to toggle the CDN service 'On' or 'Off' for additional records within the selected zone:
