Backing up your databases

When creating or updating a database you will be required to select a container to associate the database with. This specifies the location in which to backup the database to when a backup of your Cloud Container is performed.

The backups for a database are stored within the "backups" directory for the corresponding container. For more information on where to find this, please refer to our article on Where are my files, logs and backups stored?

Modifying the backup location of a database

Modifying the backup location for a database can be easily achieved by following the steps below:

  1. Navigate to the 'Containers' module and click the 'Databases' button in the upper navigation bar:


  2. Locate the database in the list that you wish to change the backup location for:

  3. On the following page you will see a dropdown list of containers that your database can be backed up to. Select a database from the list and click the 'Save Changes' button:
